Mangals strongly believe that contributing isn’t important
to the growing travel – it is critical.
Bike travel holds enormous promise for conservation of wildlife and untrodden
lands as well as the communities that live nearby. Allowing people to explore new
places in a way that positively impacts the natural environment through
education, economic opportunity and conservation; creating a
constructive experience for everyone involved.
JungleMeiMangal is a Hindi proverb. In basic definition terms,
it is to have fun in the wilderness. At a metaphorical level
it’s something magically good, or to make a fun-festivity
atmosphere at a boring place. It also stands for auspicious/victory/positive
despite the negative circumstances.
Hauz Khas Village was chosen for the first JungleMeiMangal as it epitomizes this.
Who would expect that the narrow lane next to South Delhi’s
Aurobindo Market will lead through the rustic greens to Delhi’s biggest razzmatazz!
Mangals have a passion for giving back. We often encourage our visitors and
employees to voluntarily contribute to our community initiatives:
Grow travel without growing environmental footprint is our long-term sustainability objective. We focus on reducing our impacts across the entire value chain – from recycled product design decisions and material selections to energy consumption in our operations.
Increase positive social and environmental impact by inspiring visitors, employees and fans to voluntarily participate in clean up drives and plant trees where we travel, stay and work and in forests around the world.
To learn more about our sustainability efforts, read about our
sustainability initiatives on our blog.
When it comes to contributing, JungleMeiMangal encompasses
maximizing adventure, minimizing harm and creating positive impact.
HKV generates the maximum bar waste in New Delhi. Comprising of disposable
plastic cups, glass bottles and food waste. JungleMeiMangal is committed to
take away the after-party stink, looming large in the by lanes of this village.
With the vision to be found in all corners of the world, we are firmly rooted in the places
and deeply connected to the people who are our friends and neighbors.
